Technically, I'm not a parent...yet. What I mean is, I don't have any of the expertise that many moms do, since my boys are still pretty easy to manage. As of about 4 minutes ago, they are 36 weeks in utero, and I'm not exactly sure when they'll make their debut. My husband and I are praying for November babies, but if they come before Halloween, we won't complain, because they are now in the clear from an automatic visit to the NICU. But in my heart, I've been a parent from the moment I read that positive message back in March.
Oh, did I mention that I'll be promoted to a 2-star momma upon their arrival? That's right, we're expecting twins!! For those of you in the same boat, I hope this blog will offer you some encouragement, tips, comfort, and probably laughs. For those of you with just one newborn (or infant, toddler, or teenager), I hope that you will be entertained by the stories to come, and will have just a little better idea of what moms of twins go through. You might discover that it is not altogether a different journey from the one you are on.
I don't claim to be an expert; I don't even claim to have any idea what I'm doing. I just want a way to document the early years of my boys' growth, development, and my successes and failures in raising them with a God-centered intention.
The next couple of weeks will hopefully be full of excitement and many firsts, and I'll try to track as many of them as possible here. If you are inclined to pray for someone whose blog you just happened across, please pray for a healthy and safe delivery for all 3 of us, and a smooth transition for my hubby and me in bringing the boys home. Thank you for stopping by!
Today's verse for encouragement: "But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." -Joshua 24:15b
